Objective
To join an analytical research team with broad interest in water, energy and environmental topics including, but not limited to, innovative solutions in separations and molecular characterization.
Summary
Studied dissolved organic matter from various environments, frequently marine DOM, for its role in carbon cycle and aquatic chemistry.
- Designed coupled reverse osmosis and electrodialysis system for DOM recovery in field studies.
- Programmed efficient algorithm for assigning molecular formulae to mass spectra of DOM.
- Ph. D. dissertation: Coupled reverse osmosis and electrodialysis for the investigation of dissolved organic matter in seawater (advisors: Amyn Teja and E. Michael Perdue, expected Fall 2015)
Supervised the start-up of analytical laboratory, research of undergraduates, and collection of international reference samples of DOM.
